We are proud to present a unique Sensory Wine Tasting Event on Sunday night, July 17, between 6 and 8 pm. We will present three of our most desirable and delicious red wines; Just Unleashed, 2008 Merlot and a special early tasting of our 2010 Cabernet Franc/Merlot. These wines will be paired with spices from around the world. Join us as Karen and Kim Pontius of Suttons Bay Spices unleash their own incredible history. We’ll taste the wines of Leelanau Peninsula and tour spices from ancient trade routes.
Chef Harlan "Pete" Peterson and Chef Perry Harmon of "Fun,Fine Dining" will use these paired spices to prepare a tapas menu that will culminate in a sensuous experience you don't want to miss! You may remember the name Chef "Pete" as the chef/owner of the famed Tapawingo Restaurant in Ellsworth,MI, an upscale restaurant that put Northern Michigan on the fine dining map. Currently, Chef Perry Harmon is the chef/owner of Way North Foods an award winning gourmet specialty foods wholesaler. Prior to this new venture, he was the Executive Chef at the Chateau Grand Traverse Winery on Old Mission Peninsula."
